Privacy

Short version: this website uses PostHog analytics and cookies to see how it is used. The app does not phone home.

This website

  • We use PostHog to understand how the site is used. It records the pages you view, the links and buttons you click and where on the page, how far you scroll, the site that referred you, your browser, device, screen size, approximate location (from your IP address), page load times and script errors.
  • It records sessions: a replay of what happened on the page during your visit. Anything you type into a form field is masked and not recorded.
  • PostHog sets a first-party cookie and a local-storage entry with a random ID, so later visits from the same browser are linked. Clear your cookies or block them in your browser to stop that.
  • If your browser is set to a European time zone (EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland), we ask first and load nothing until you choose. If you reject, we count the visit without cookies or recordings. Anyone can change their choice under Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, and we honor a rejection wherever you are.
  • PostHog stores this data on our behalf under its own privacy policy. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
  • A small piece of your browser’s local storage remembers the light or dark theme if you pick one. It never leaves your browser.
  • The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub receives the usual request data (such as IP address) to serve pages and keep the service secure, under GitHub’s own privacy statement. We do not receive those logs.

Signup forms

The newsletter form collects your email address. It is sent to Kit, which stores the list and sends the emails.

  • We use the address only to email you about Action Stations releases, packs and exercise tips.
  • We do not sell or share it.
  • Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask for your address to be deleted at any time.

The Action Stations app

  • No telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, no account.
  • It makes network calls only to the model and media providers you add, and only when a task uses them.
  • Projects, documents and generated media stay in folders on your computer.
  • API keys are encrypted with your operating system’s keychain and never written to project files or logs.
  • Pack catalogs are opt-in: the app has none until you add one. It fetches a catalog only when you open Browse or press Refresh, and downloads a pack only when you click Install or Update.

If you use a hosted model provider, the text you send it (including excerpts of your documents) is handled under that provider’s terms. Use local models when your plans must not leave the building.
