Packs

Pack catalog

A pack adds inject templates, prompts, domain profiles, ComfyUI workflows, reference documents or example projects to Action Stations without waiting for a new release. Each pack is one .aspack file that lists a SHA-256 checksum for every file inside it, and the app checks them all before it installs anything.

Installing a pack

Packs install from the Packs screen in Action Stations 0.3.0 or later.

From the catalog

  1. Open Packs and click Add the official catalog (actionstations.ai). This is a one-time, opt-in step: the app has no catalog until you add one.
  2. Open Browse. The app fetches https://actionstations.ai/packs/index.json only now, or when you press Refresh, never at startup or in the background.
  3. Choose a pack and review it: contents by kind and what each item replaces, the pack’s license and every document’s license and source, size and SHA-256. Then click Install. The download is checked against the catalog’s SHA-256, and every file against pack.json.

From a file

  1. Download the .aspack file from the pack’s page.
  2. Optional: compare its SHA-256 with the value on the pack’s page (shasum -a 256 file.aspack on macOS and Linux, Get-FileHash file.aspack in PowerShell). The app’s review screen shows the same value.
  3. In Packs, choose Install from file… (or open the file), review, and install.

Packs can’t carry code. Scripts, programs and SVG files are refused, and templates may not load anything from the network. Whatever a project uses from a pack is copied into the project, so the project keeps working if you later disable or remove the pack.
